DuPont and Sabanci finalise nylon JV.(Brief Article)

DuPont and Sabanci Holding have expanded their multi-regional alliance for manufacturing and marketing industrial nylon. Their new 50/50 joint venture--DuPont-Sabanci International 11c--will be "the world's leading global supplier of heavy decitex nylon industrial yarn and tyre cord fabric" with over 100 kilotonnes per annum (ktpa) capacity, said a statement from the companies.
The JV started operating at the end of 2000. It will use the tradename DUSA International and be headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware.
"DuPont and Sabanci have a long history of cooperation dating back more than 25 years, including the formation of the DUSA yarn manufacturing joint venture in Izmit, Turkey, in 1987," said Guler Sabanci, DUSA chairperson, in a statement....
