Rubber under threat, say Scandinavian speakers.

The Nordic Rubber Conference took place in Boras, Sweden in April, and generated a series of papers on the future of the rubber industry in the region.

Automotive OEMs will replace rubber with other systems if the rubber industry continues to stick with recipes, just because they have worked in the past, Roland Parg of Bayer AG's rubber business unit told the Nordic Rubber Conference in Boras, near Gothenberg, 26-27 April.
