Parent company ThyssenKrupp group has recently decided to keep ownership of the rubber processing equipment maker, Horch said. "We--the management of Krupp Elastomertechnik and the owners of Thyssen Krupp"--have decided that the firm should go back to Thyssen Krupp, as part of its "main focus," he explained.

This will be encapsulated within a few weeks in a name change to Thyssen Krupp Elastomertechnik, Horch added.

After Thyssen combined with Krupp, the rubber unit was put up for sale, as part of the engineering group's aim to divest non-core businesses. But "to sell the company was very difficult," and a search for the "best ownership" proved fruitless, Horch said.
