A gathering in London 5-11 Oct aims to iron out some of the conflicting issues surrounding standards in the rubber industry. About 100 rubber industry experts will come to London for the 51st meeting of the ISO TC 45--the technical committee that deals with rubber industry issues relevant to the International Standards Organization for Standards (ISO).
On the agenda this year are discussions about a new test for the durability of earthquake isolation bearings, proposals for recycling rubber and other issues about standardisation around the world.
According to Roger Brown, chair of the meeting, the event is a chance for technical experts to meet together and go into the minutiae of individual standards, and testing methodologies. Brown said he is...
