TC45 wants to raise test reproducibility in rubber: standards committee aims to help rubber companies with issues surrounding comparability of testing, such as calibration of equipment.(Rubber news)

A gathering in London 5-11 Oct aims to iron out some of the conflicting issues surrounding standards in the rubber industry. About 100 rubber industry experts will come to London for the 51st meeting of the ISO TC 45--the technical committee that deals with rubber industry issues relevant to the International Standards Organization for Standards (ISO).

On the agenda this year are discussions about a new test for the durability of earthquake isolation bearings, proposals for recycling rubber and other issues about standardisation around the world.
