Gordon Schuster has been named a member of the 2001 Executive Council of New York Life Insurance Co. Oct. 2, announced by Sy Sternberg, New York Life's chairman, president and chief executive officer. Members of the executive council are among the most successful of New York Life's elite sales force of nearly 10,000 licensed agents. As a member of the executive council, Schuster was invited to attend the executive council convention at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 25-28.

Schuster was recently named a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow by the American College. He is currently serving as secretary for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors' central Washington chapter.
