Larry Glickfeld, professional engineer with Cascade Engineering of Wenatchee, attended a seminar on Wood Design and Construction in Renton on April 11. The seminar was presented by the American Wood Council, and focused on the provisions and revisions of the new 2001 edition of the National Design Specifications for structural timber design.
The NDS governs the timber design requirements of Washington state building codes.
