Businesses chip in to remodel Performing Arts Center office.(Bank of America Performing Arts Center)

In November 2002, the Bank of America Performing Arts Center moved its business office from 116 N. Wenatchee Ave., Wenatchee, to a location under its own roof across the street at 121 N. Wenatchee Ave.

The cost-saving measure was logical, but the only space available within the facility as an 8-foot by 19-foot room originally designed for the sale of concessions.

Despite functionality issues, the office, which is usually inhabited by two employees and at least one volunteer, was set up there. For lack of space, files and other office equipment were stored in the green room, a room intended for performers and located at the opposite end of the theater.

Improving this arrangement and returning the green room to the performers became a priority...
