Sen. Linda Evans Parlette, R-Wenatchee, recently was appointed to the advisory board of the Policy Consensus Center.
The Policy Consensus Center, chaired by former U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator William D. Ruckelshaus, is a joint effort by Washington State University and the University of Washington to provide services and information that can help resolve public policy conflicts in Washington. The center just completed its formative period during which it has helped conflicting parties find common ground and address issues affecting business, agriculture, the environment, workers and others.
