We all need to manage our workplace--from basic office supplies to inventory for the kitchen--to run smoothly on a daily basis. With internal workforce shrinkage being a real issue in business today, this can become a huge task. But, on the flipside, the more employees you have, the tighter the systems that control those little things (that make a big difference) must be. Take for instance the following (true, I assure you) scenarios:

* The company did not want to order business cards for any new staff until they were sure the relationship would be a long-term one.
