Salon Dore adds new wig shop: Anderson's own brush with cancer spurs decision to provide 'comfortable' service.

To Sandi Anderson, owner of Salon Dore, the decision to add a wig shop to her hair salon beginning March 1 was not just about business.
She had sold wigs when she first opened the salon in the remodeled Deaconess Hospital building on Okanogan in 2002, but after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004--though she didn't lose her own hair since her treatment did not require radiation and chemotherapy--it felt "too close to home," she said. She phased out the business, stopped ordering new wigs and just sold whatever she had in stock.
In 2006, Anderson moved Salon Dore into a 1,700-square-foot house she had purchased at 309 Okanogan St., Wenatchee. She didn't plan to sell wigs again, but after a time at the new location, she realized she had the...
