Former co-workers reunite for venture
Everett Office Furniture owner Jim Slonaker is now a partner with Action Business Furniture of Tacoma, owned by his friends Dennis Peters and Byron Richmond.
The owners of both stores had been working together buying inventory, but only in December did they make it official.
Everett Office Furniture will keep its name and sell both new and used office furniture. But with Action, Slonaker will have a larger inventory to draw from and more buying power.
"We've just known each other forever and I've been in the industry forever," Slonaker said. "We just decided it's crazy, we're buying and working together, why don't we make it one corporation?"
