Does the business traveler perform better or worse while on the road? Hilton Hotels is fielding a high-tech research program to find out.

The two-part study includes a Internet-based survey and will outfit volunteer business travelers with a wrist-worn device called an actigraph. The device measures daytime activity levels and night-time sleep quality. Participants will also will carry a special personal data assistant during their travels to collect objective information about their performance level and to log information about their moods, activities, eating and other daily habits.
