AREVA's joint subsidiary with Siemens, Framatome ANP Inc., has been awarded a contract to supply a pressurizer to Florida Power & Light Company's St. Lucie Unit 1 nuclear power plant. This is the first pressurizer order for the company with delivery to the United States.
The contract covers design, manufacturing, delivery and installation of the pressurizer, which will include replacement heaters. The pressurizer is scheduled to be delivered and installed during fall 2005. Framatome ANP will also replace the unit's reactor vessel closure head during this outage. The components will be manufactured at Framatome ANP's Chalon St. Marcel factory in France.
