Ten Ontario IOCs upgrade their networks with Occam Networks' BLC 6000.(CONTRACTS)(local telcos)

Occam Networks Inc., a supplier of innovative Ethernet and IP-based loop carrier equipment to telecommunications companies, announced that 10 local telcos in Canada's Ontario province have selected Occam Networks' BLC 6000 solution to upgrade their networks. Occam has seen tremendous success in Ontario over the last 18 months, and is now serving two-thirds of its independent telcos.
"We selected the Occam platform because it offers the most flexibility of any BLC product of which we are aware," said Wayne Lynch, manager of transport infrastructure for Ontera. "We are very pleased to have found a single product from which we can deliver such a wide array of services over an IP network."
