In response to on-the-go consumers, General Mills introduced Honey Nut Cheerios Milk'n Cereal Bar. The cereal bar contains, obviously, Honey Nut Cheerios and real milk. The package states that the 1.4-ounce bar contains the nutrition of a bowl of cereal and milk. In smaller print it reads "The vitamin, mineral and protein nutrition of one cereal serving plus one half cup of milk." The cereal bar contains 160 calories, 4 grams of fat, 150 grams of sodium and no cholesterol. General Mills hopes its cereal bar line will be popular with mothers looking for additional nutritional items to give children before school. The company also hopes to appeal to adults looking for a quick breakfast they can eat in the car on the way to work.
