Eating a bowl of Cheerios and fruit just got easier with General Mills' new Berry Burst Cheerios. Two new products -- Berry Burst Cheerios Strawberry and Berry Burst Cheerios Triple Berry (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) -- feature a pairing of Cheerios and real berries in the box. General Mills achieved its goal of placing berries in the box by freeze-drying, which maintains a product's original appearance, texture and nutrition. When milk is added to the cereal, the fruit re-hydrates. Along with the addition of berries, General Mills added a new, naturally sweetened flavor to the new product.
