Probably one of the most widely prepared and ordered products in foodservice is soup. Heinz Foodservice, a division of the H. J. Heinz Co., Pittsburgh, continues to offer the industry new soup products to meet consumer demands across foodservice segments.

Heinz has been manufacturing well-known branded products since 1869, becoming a global distributor of products to the tune of $2.5 billion in 2003. The soup category took a turn in the 1970s when Chef Francisco, part of Heinz Foodservice, recognized the need by foodservice operators for more convenience and labor savings in meal preparation.
