Assume for a moment that you've just been given a bank account. A very unique bank account. It comes with credits amounting to $86,400. There's only one stipulation: You have to spend it all in one day. Not one dime can be carried over to the next 24 hours. Anything unused at the end of the day is gone.

What would you do? My guess is, you'd get busy on some very creative budgeting. You would be determined to extract every last cent from the account before you lost it.

Of course, that was a hypothetical question. None of us is likely to ever wake up and discover such a fairy-tale account.
