Optus and Publishing & Broadcasting Ltd. (PBL) have signed a deal to enable users of 3G access to download consumer-friendly content. Optus has entered into an alliance for the same with the Internet portal Ninemsn of PBL. The mobile and broadband subscribers of Optus will receive content from PBL.
A webbased communications platform of Ninemsn will allow users to access content on computers and 3G mobile phones. Paul O'Sullivan, the CEO of Optus, said that the agreement has introduced advanced communication services to the users. Telstra, the top company in the market, stated that it has been providing similar services to its users in alliance with Microsoft's MSN portal for about two years now.
