2.5G-3G, September, 2005
CTI Movil (America Movil), Movistar (Telefonica Moviles), and Personal (Telecom Italia) will not be allowed to sell new mobile phone lines until they make the necessary investments that will guarantee minimum levels of quality in Salta, according to a federal judge in that province. A consumer advocacy group filed a petition requesting that the three leading cellcos in Argentina be prohibited from continuing to sell lines while the quality of service in Salta, and the rest of the country, suffers from major defects.
