U.S. creates special spectrum committee.(POLICY)(Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee)(Brief Article)

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), a division of the U.S. Government s Department of Commerce, is going to create a special advisory forum for dealing with the issues related to national radio spectrum. The new body, which will be called the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee, will advice the U.S.

Government about policies concerning frequency use and introduction of new technologies, and measures to implement these policies. The committee will comprise 20 members representing both the public and private sectors. The team will also facilitate the effective implementation of the government s 21st Century Spectrum Policy.
