NTT's DoCoMo signs MoU with RealNetworks for handsets.(Memorandum of Understanding)(Brief article)

According to a Reuters report, RealNetworks and NTT DoCoMo has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) for installing software to facilitate video streaming capabilities on handsets offered by DoCoMo. DoCoMo is a subsidiary of Japan-based NTT. RealNetworks is a producer of software that enables playing music and games on computers.

It is planning to set up an open software environment for content providers. This will help them to stream video content over Internet to DoCoMo's mobiles using their multiformat servers.
