FCC gives waiver to wireless carries.(TOP NEWS)(Federal Communications Committee )(Brief article)

The Federal Communications Committee granted waivers to small wireless companies to comply with enhanced 911 (E911) mandates. This has been done for big companies, also. Though this may have been in effect in the past, sluggishness on the part of the companies triggered its implementation now. The waivers were sent in two separate orders.
The first one involved Cable and Communications Corporation (C&CC) asking for a 30-month extension.
This was a Tier 3 provider, and it got an 18-month reprieve from the FCC. It affected 12 emergency providers. C&CC had requested the grant at a period when it was launching new CDMA equipment.
