2.5G-3G, July, 2006
Motorola with 28.2 percent, Jabra with 16.3 percent, and Plantronics with 12.3 percent continue to lead the Bluetooth market with around 57 percent share of global sales last year. Other companies contributed around 43 percent of the total sales. This was reported in research from Strategy Analytics.
Chris Ambrosio, the director at Strategy Analytics, said that future potential would depend upon stereo headsets in mobile music and rich media like TV. He also suggested that the price of Bluetooth headsets should be reduced from $100 to $50 to firmly cash in on the market. The report says that the Bluetooth headset market will rise by 70 percent.
