Neotel and Motorola sign agreement for providing wireless services in South Africa.(CONTRACTS)

Tata-owned Neotel and US-based Motorola have signed a deal to provide wireless telecommunications services, CDMA, and WiMAX networks in South Africa. Neotel is the second national operator in South Africa. The Tatas hold 51 percent stake in Neotel through group firm VSNL. The firm has secured the license to provide all the telecom services except full mobility in South Africa.
This deal will include radio frequency planning of Motorola's CDMA and WiMAX networks in the country. This is the first agreement between Motorola and Neotel, ad will cover the radio frequency planning for several wireless technologies in the future.
