Google debuts social networking site.(Business)

Google launched its new social networking site, www.orkut.com, that apparently allows people to communicate with friends and family, according to the Boston Globe. The company said it wants to "increase the overall satisfaction of social life." In truth, the company started the site since its proposed $30 million acquisition of Friendster was rejected.
