Local court fines Qwest $25.9 million.(BUSINESS)

Internet Business Newsletter, October, 2004

U.S.-based Qwest Communications has been ordered by a local court to pay a penalty of $25.9 million, which the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission had imposed on the company. However the company was spared paying an extra $10 million as compensation to its competitors.

Qwest is the largest telecom service provider in West and Upper Midwest area of U.S.
