Leichtman Research Group presented a report which stated that the 20 biggest DSL and cable providers of US achieved 3.06 million net additional users during Q1 2006.
DSL boasts of about 20.2 million subscribers, while cable has about 25.8 million broadband users, for a total of about 46 million high-speed Internet users.
The leading DSL providers added 1.66 million users. The leading cable providers boasted 1.4 million new subscribers during the quarter.
