Jordan Telecom, Lightspeed join hands to initiate broadband package in Bahrain.(SERVICE PROVIDERS)

Bahrain-based telecom service provider Lightspeed Communications will join hands with Jordan Telecom Group (JTG) to unveil broadband packages for lay residents and SMEs (small and midsized enterprises). This partnership (51 percent by JTG and 49 percent by businessmen) will invest $5 million in the next couple of years in the Bahraini telecom sector, which is dominated by Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco).

Marc Rennard, the executive vice president of France Telecom Orange Group in charge of Africa, Middle East, and Asia, said that the partnership would work together to offer high-quality broadband Internet services to its customers.
