AT&T Latam to be delisted from Nasdaq. (Brazil).(AT&T Latin America Corp.)(Brief Article)

Latin America Telecom, January, 2003

AT&T Latin America Corp. said it had received a Nasdaq delisting notice, effective Jan. 17, after the company failed to maintain certain requirements as a public firm.

The news came one week after the company's former parent, AT&T Corp., dumped its 69 percent stake in its unprofitable Latin American arm for only $1,000 and said it would take a $1.1 billion charge in the fourth quarter to write down the value of the AT&T Latin American investment.
