The new general manager of the incumbent operator controlled by Telefonica of Spain, Jose Moles, confirmed the new direction of the company: broadband.

The company aims to have 300,000 broadband accounts before the end of the year. Moles explained that the company will look at options like segmenting its service offer together with a more flexible approach to adopting technology to face stiffening competition. He also announced that Telefonica CTC will begin offering TV on its network in 2006 by brining what has already been implemented in Spain, Imagenio. The service offers video and audio over DSL lines.
