Telmex lures U.S. Latin market with videoconference services.(Telefonos de Mexico S.A. de C.V.)(Brief Article)

The videoconference service offer by Mexican-based Telmex in the U.S. is now available for the 904,000 broadband customers of Prodigy, a Telmex affiliate in the U.S. Prodigy has expressed its plan to develop this service with the Mexican population living in the U.S. The Latin community in the U.S.
represents 14 percent of the country's population, with 75 percent of that community of Mexican descent. The videoconference service carries a price tag of $0.90 per minute, while the cost of a phone with a color monitor is $200, which is financed at $8.40 per month over a two-year period.
