In the next three months, Cable & Wireless Jamaica (CWJ) plans to take up a $3.01 million network upgrade to boost its network. CWJ's vice president of corporate communications and corporate affairs, Errol K. Miller, said that this upgrade would be done to components that would finally be connected to the fiber ring.
The upgrade would help the firm to become equipped for providing services like next-generation broadband services, which feature services like video on demand. CWJ is presently facing tough challenges like interruptions in service and slow Internet speed mainly due to the overuse of old equipment.
