At PMA 2005, there were various General Session tracks offered Monday, Feb. 21, and Tuesday, Feb. 22. In the Digital Commercial Markets General Sessions, suppliers discussed workflow and inks--important topics for labs.
Discussing digital workflow
At the Digital Commercial Markets General Session on Monday, Feb. 21, Ron Waters of Durst Image Technology US LLC, Rochester. N.Y., talked about the many issues and opportunities associated with workflow. "By nature, the term 'workflow' defines a number of steps required in a process to produce a product or accomplish a task," he noted.
With digital technology, the workflow steps are still there, as with analog: but more of the steps are automated, Waters explained.
