Consultant Watson Wyatt has appointed Robert Brown as a senior consultant in its investment practice.

He was previously the managing director of First Quadrant's London operation.

Prior to First Quadrant he was with NatWest Investment Management (now part of Gartmore) for 11 years, undertaking a variety of roles which included heading up the team responsible for the management and asset allocation strategies of the largest mandates. Brown will take up his position in October 2002.
