News: Claybrook top two defect to software rival Aquila.

Pensions software provider Claybrook has lost two top players to rival company Aquila, as the sale of the business to a private equity firm nears completion.

Aquila snatched Chris Connelly, head of development and Ian Nelson, operations director from Claybrook, just weeks before the sale of the company to Duke Street Capital is finalised.

A Claybrook spokesman told PW: "There had been demand from Aquila to build up its resources and Connelly and Nelson had succumbed to that. They were looking for something new and it's a nuisance, obviously, but we're effectively carrying on as normal."

The spokesman said that internal appointments had been made to replace Connelly and Nelson.
