People on the Move: ABN adds Ballard to boost fixed income business.

ABN Amro Asset Management has bolstered its fixed income business with the appointment of Simon Ballard.

Based in London, Ballard will become a credit strategist for the firm's European fixed income team.

He joins from Arc Securities and takes up the day-to-day decision making at ABN Amro on overall top down credit policy. He will have responsibility for asset allocation between government bonds, swap related bonds and corporate bonds for the European fixed income team.

Ballard will form part of the global credit team, with particular responsibility for formulating policy on sectors, ratings, maturity and currencies based on investment grade market and market sectors research.
