On the move: Euro growth leads to expansion for PGI.

Principal Global Investors (PGI) has expanded its operations with a trio of appointments to its London office.

Iain Mather joins the firm as head of compliance with more than 15 years' experience at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Deutsche Asset Management and Henderson Global Investors.

He will work alongside Rogier van de Grift, who joins from ABP Investments, where he was responsible for the optimal execution of stock trading.

At PGI his main function will be monitoring market conditions and the execution of trades in ordinary shares in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets.

Also starting at the firm is Michael Burnham, who joins as product management and operations manager.
