Scottish Life's governed range of investments for defined contribution schemes has been endorsed by independent analysis.

Actuarial consultancy AKG, commissioned by Scottish Life to carry out an independent analysis of the range and the firm's overall governance process, described it as "a robust and credible end-to-end process".

It also claimed Scottish Life's processes helped "an intermediary in meeting their treating customers fairly responsibilities".

Among the areas AKG investigated were risk profiling, asset allocation, fund selection, lifestyling, rebalancing and the role of the investment advisory committee.
