News: ABN appointed as custodian for E1.1bn Gerling NCM fund.(ABN AMRO Mellon)(Gerling NCM Credit und Finance AG)

Gerling NCM has replaced Deutsche Bank with ABN Amro Mellon as custodian for its e1.1bn fund because ABN offered more services.

Gerling, the world's second largest provider of credit insurance, was created following the consolidation of the Dutch credit insurer NCM and Gerling Credit Insurance Group in December 2001.

"The creation of a new company from two existing operations necessitated a review of our global custody arrangements," said Rolf Kooijman, director of finance for Gerling NCM.

"The existing relationship between NCM and ABN Amro Mellon assured us that ABN provides the best match for these requirements."

Deutsche Bank had held the main Gerling custody mandate.
