"I started managing money in 1974," says Thomas Perkins of Perkins, Wolf, McDonnell & Co, the Janus Capital-owned boutique that manages the Janus US Strategic Value Fund. "I used to like to tell younger folks that they may have seen 1987 and 2001-2, but that those were momentary difficulties compared with the 70s. I think this market is taking that away - everyone's seen it all, now! We're not enjoying this, but we do think it will provide some reasonable opportunities."
