The 11th conference of the Gender and Science and Technology (GASAT) Association will take place from 6 to 11 July 2003 in Mauritius.
Next year's conference will have the following themes: 1) New initiatives in science, technology, mathematics education at the formal level; 2) Meeting the new challenges of the new technologies; 3) Women, science, technology and the workforce; and 4) Gender, the environment and sustainable development.
GASAT is an international association concerned with issues arising from interactions between gender and science and technology. Members are found across the globe. GASAT made vital contributions towards the inclusion of science and technology in the Platform of Action during the 4th UN Conference on Women (Beijing, 1995)...
