Online broker IMIWeB UK and mobile operator O2 have launched a share trading service.
The service will be available on O2s xda, a new personal digital assistant (PDA) that combines general packet radio service (GPRS) phone, PC and web services in one. O2 users will be able to set up accounts and trade shares online in real-time.
According to IMIWeb, the service is the first fully transactional PDA share dealing service to be launched in the UK. Until now, IMIWebs share trading service has only been available to PC users in the UK.
O2s xda users will be able to buy and sell shares at GBP10 for UK trades and GBP15 for overseas trades. According to IMIWeb, there are no management costs, registration fees or annual charges.
