MERRILL LYNCH Investment Managers has closed two of its retail fund of funds.
The GBP2.3m Managed Income fund and the GBP3.7m Merrill Lynch Managed Growth fund, both launched in 1984.
The 600 investors in the two funds have been offered a free switch to other Merrill Lynch unit trusts.
The Merrill Lynch Managed Income fund had a four-star rating and was ranked 9 out of 94 in the balanced managed sector, by Standard & Poors as of 19 August 2002.
The Merrill Lynch Managed Growth fund has a two-star rating from Standard & Poors. It is ranked 29 out of 69 in the active managed sector over one year, as of 19 August 2002.
Neither funds been actively managed for several years.
