Aberdeen Unit Trust Managers has merged three of its UK bond funds to create the Aberdeen Corporate Bond fund.

The new fund will be run by Anthony Fletcher, who joined the company via the acquisition of Deutsche Asset Management's London and Philadelphia fixed income businesses in 2005.

It will employ the same investment strategy as many of the other key investment managers, with the focus being on multiple and correlated returns in all the major fixed income classes.

The bond will also use derivatives to hedge unwanted interest rate and currency risk in order to create the desired sterling profile.
