Byline: Group expects Asian consumer demand to drive Emerging Markets Small Cap fund

JPMorgan Asset Management is betting on domestic demand in Asia to fuel its Emerging Markets Small Cap fund, set to launch in the next month.

The Luxembourg-domiciled Sicav is expected to receive regulatory approval on 18 November, and will immediately go live after that.

The fund will be managed by Greg Mattiko, who has been a member of JPMAM's emerging markets team for five years, working on the company's AGBP330.2m Emerging Markets fund and managing institutional funds for two years.

Just as the first phase of the emerging markets bull market was led by large-cap funds, JPMAM believes the second phase will be led by mid and small-caps.
