The Fed's rate cut last week caused a deluge of market activity, but Pictet's Paul Gaston was drenched with a different kind of liquidity when a drain burst under his garage in the idyllic Kent village he calls home. As a man who spends a lot of his time touting Pictet's Water fund to investors, Mr Gaston was in his element and donned a pair of wellies to investigate the situation.

Is this the kind of hands-on approach we can expect from Pictet when things get tough? Either way retail investors are advised to call a plumber.
