Credit Suisse gets a new chief officer.

Credit Suisse has appointed Rob Shafir as chief investment officer of its asset management division. . James Kenny

Mr Shafir will assume his new responsibilities with immediate effect and will also continue in his current role as chief executive of the Americas region. He will stay on as a member of the executive board of Credit Suisse, reporting to Brady Dougan.

Mr Shafir joined Credit Suisse in 2007 from Lehman Brothers, where he worked for 17 years and served in a number of senior roles. Previous to this he worked at Morgan Stanley.
