Consumer prices in OECD on rise.

Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 3.4 per cent in the year to February 2008, including a 13.9 per cent rise in energy prices.. Oliver Good

Prices for food were up 4.9 per cent over the year.

Excluding food and energy, consumer prices rose by 2 per cent.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) covers 30 countries, all of which pledge commitment to democracy and market economics.
