CSR shares continue to climb.

Investors Chronicle, June, 2004

Shares in newly-floated Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) shot up another 16 per cent this week as the company announced a new product launch. CSR makes semiconductors for Bluetooth products, which allow data to be transferred wirelessly over short distances. The latest product will speed up data transfer rates, and allow new applications, such as transfers between computers and laser printers. According to analysts, the new products will help CSR to maintain its market leadership, and will protect the industry from commoditisation.

CSR floated at 200p in February, and the shares have since risen 83 per cent to 365p. That leaves them trading on 23 times forecast earnings for this year.

The Bluetooth market is expected to grow by 48 per cent per year...
